Spending Christmas in Bed Video Transcript
Late on Christmas Eve, somebody was shaking me awake saying “come on”. A kid and his family were visiting from out of town. My brother and I snuck into the living room to the Christmas tree where we opened everything and wrecked the beautiful setting our parents spent hours putting into place. We got all the toys out … we had the race cars whizzing and the baby doll peeing. all of the toys were out
I’m not going to share what happened to the boy, but I can report that my mom was so mad, she morphed into godzilla. In reality, she banished us to our beds until she decided we could get up. So, imagine what it’s like when you hear everybody having fun, everyone having a good time and you are stuck in bed. Thank God for my aunt who saved by persuading my mom to get out of bed. I learned that day and many others if Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. The great news is that I lived to tell about it.
