Ok. Your car is not running like it should be. The kids forgot their lunch money. Momma called telling you about how your cousins are cutting up. You are driving in to work on site to train someone who does not want to be trained. All those stressors that you are experiencing, that I am experiencing, are putting us at a bad place where we are halfway mad anyway to begin with.
What are you talking about, Monica? Today we need to choose your mad. We need to do what babies do when we are trying to give them something they don’t want. They lock their lips together, turn their head, and stick out their tongue to let it slide out of their mouths, don’t they?
That’s what I’m saying to you and me. We don’t have to ingest these additional stressors that are just going to keep us riled up and angry. Where do those things come from? Social media! If my videos upset you, turn me off! Turn off toxic people, TV, and other places you get your information from.
We don’t have to ingest more stuff that is going to make us feel worse. We have some choice about what we put in our minds.
So, what I want you to do is to make a conscious decision tomorrow of what you are going to take in. I’ve done this and it has helped my life not be as stressful as it was before. There are many things I have to deal with that I can’t change, but dad gum it, but I am working on those things I can change.
So do the baby thing, Turn your head! Don’t let it in.
