When It Doesn’t Feel Good: Motivation with Monica
Getting back out there when it feels terrible and it doesn’t feel good. Quick, quick story that I hope will help you with your day.
My daughter was back in the hospital with serious circumstances that they’re trying to figure out. They are trying to figure out what’s going on. I had been off work for awhile and my time off was running out. I was encouraged to go back to work, which sounded crazy to me, but I did. And on my first day back, on that day, I was called into a meeting and told that the job I left was no longer the job I had.
Has that happened to you in your situation where you don’t have the luxury of just one thing happening, but two or three or five or 10?I know we all have with COVID and everything else.
But, that’s not the end of the story; in unexpected ways, it was just the beginning.
The next day, I went into a new situation: numb, unprepared. Too tired to be terrified, exhausted on every level, but I went anyway. I went anyway.
What ended up happening? I must share with you that circumstance turned out to be what I needed! That circumstance ended up allowing my complicated, crazy life, which was getting more complicated and crazy by the day, to be more doable.
I want to share that it doesn’t feel good to get back out there. We’re terrified to get back out. And when we do, sometimes what we face is awful, But it has its purpose. Perhaps I’ve had to go through some things, not just for me, but to help others along their journey. And I hope this helps you.
